In August 2023, The city of Córdoba became the first Argentine city to join the global Fab City initiative, which already includes more than 52 cities or regions around the world. Its objective: Moving towards a sustainable city, productive, resilient and open to the future that it can produce by itself (almost) everything you need to promote local productive development. This initiative involves a network of entrepreneurs, geographically dispersed local communities and businesses. Instead of depending on large factories or centralized production centers, This approach leverages disruptive technologies and collaboration to allow multiple actors to contribute to the creation and distribution of products and services, favoring the development of Smart Cities.. Fab City Córdoba is a local network of creators, designers, architects,
urban farmers, innovative, Fab Lab, think tank, institutions,
companies and research offices committed to the rise of the
circular and collaborative economy in the Córdoba area.
